Many recent environmental disasters and industrial land use in California have cast toxic pollutants into our air, but the history of struggles over California air go back decades.
Our March panel explored the history of air pollution and discussed policies to address it, including mitigation measures for reducing pollution from various industry sectors, and looked at what these policies mean for communities most impacted by low air quality and toxic pollutants. It also explored the relationship between our built environment and human health and addressed pressing questions about the ethics of repair and recovery.
